Trees
have been sacred for thousands of years in all cultures, however, its
only in the last few hundred years that their importance has
diminished, and their availability taken more and more for granted.
Think on what they give to us and ask nothing in return. They give us
shelter, food, fuel...and air. Our existence on Earth is interconnected
with these magnificent beings. It is in that spirit that I began to
paint faces using the beautiful leaves in my area. I start out with an
idea in my mind, but inevitably the leaf decides what it wants instead.
