How Do I Advertise Online?
There are several avenues for advertising online depending on your budget. The key is to be consistent and find sites that compliment your product. Seek out the areas your customers frequent ad find adspace in those areas.
- Ad Networks - Connect web sites that want to host advertisements with advertisers who want to place ads. There is a nice list in this Advertising Article from Mashable.
- Affiliate Sites - Are similar to ad networks but pay commission based on clicks to and purchases from affiliate sites. One of the most popular is Commission Junction.

- Banner Ads - Are graphic or text ads (usually in gif, jpg or png format) that are placed on a website for a specified time. There are various sizes but the most common is a 125x125 pixel image.
- Pay Per Click - This type of advertising charges you a fee each time someone clicks on your advertisement. Sign up for Google Adwords to get started but be sure to put a dollar limit on it because it can be costly.
- Reviews - Many blogs will review your business or product for a small fee. If they have good traffic and target your niche, this is a great way to obtain recommendations and valuable links to your site.
- BlogAds - Place banner ads on participating blogs in the web blog ads network for your chosen network or niche. These are paid ads by week and month starting as low as $10 per week for some blogs.
- Directory Listings - List your business and get valuable backlinks. Start with the open directory project at www.dmoz.org and search for relevant directories within your niche.
