The Chibis From Kiki Valley show is created and produced by Madeline Nupp McDonald.

Both my sculptures as well as my animations are made for intented viewing and appreciation of adults. If I can entertain some children along the way that's an added cherry on my ice cream sundae! When I began creating the Kiki Valley Chibis, I spent a lot of well-used time deciding who my target audience would be. I know it seems strange to new-comers that I chose to reach out to adults instead of children. But there is a reason I did this.

I know you've heard it said that "the children are our future", so a lot of focus has been put on children to teach them to be good citizens of this planet so that the world will be a better place when it's their turn to run the show. But I believe that 'we', the adults are our future as well.

The most special, wonderful, super-hero, magical people for children are their parents, teachers, big brothers and sisters. No matter what their failings, or short-comings, they are always the biggest influence on a child.

So I want to help to bring us, adults, back to a place where we remember what it's like to be young. Where we remember what it's like to have dreams, and wishes and optimism. I hope to help us to relate to children in a way that we can share our wisdom without jading it with our hardships.

Not to mention what a happier place this world would be if we could just lighten up a bit and love more freely, and have a little trust in the goodness of others, and the goodness of ourselves.
